Warranty Period

Vehicle manufacturer installed components:
Power Gear warrants its slide out and leveling systems and components to be free from defects in material and workmanship for two (2) years from the date of original sale of the vehicle. This warranty is transferable to subsequent owners, upon furnishing proof of original date of sale, and the new owner’s notarized proof of purchase.

Replacement parts:
Replacement parts are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 90 days from the date of installation, or the remainder of the vehicle warranty, whichever is longer. If the part was installed after the vehicle warranty expired, the warranty applies to the parts only. No labor compensation is allowed. Proof of installation date and date of part purchase is
required.

Warranty Procedure

  1. Verify warranty by obtaining a copy of the original sale receipt for the vehicle, (or earlier repair order in the event of a service part warranty). If you are unsure if a claim will be honored as warranty, call 1-800-334-4712 and ask for the warranty department. Any questions that you may have will be answered and suggestions will be given for properly diagnosing
    and identifying warranty situations.
  2. Contact Power Gear Technical Support (800-334-4712) to obtain a Warranty Parts Order Verification Number. A technical support rep will work with you and/or your technician to verify that the correct replacement part(s) is ordered.
  3. Complete sections A and B of the Warranty / Returned Goods Claim Form (see page 6) including the signature and date.
Forms without signature cannot be considered for warranty. A blank form can be found at the end of this manual. Adhere to the standard time guide (see page 5) for each type of repair if there is a labor claim. Paperwork time and diagnostic time are included in the time guide. Time associated with learning about a repair or excessive diagnostic or installation time will not be reimbursed. Power Gear will not be liable for excessive time required to gain access to Power Gear components. Incomplete
claim forms will not be considered for warranty.
  4. Fax the form to (574) 254-5289, or you may also scan, then e-mail form to warranty@pwrsysa.com.
  5. Parts will be sent out at no charge, UPS GND prepaid. All parts orders ship within 2 business days.
  6. When the repairs are completed, please complete section C of the Warranty/Returned Goods Claim Form (see page 6) with your labor time and hourly rate. Use the same form that you submitted under step 3. Remember to sign and date the form at the bottom. Forms without signature cannot be considered for warranty compensation.
  7. The form will be faxed back to you with an authorization number and any instructions. Please respond to any questions noted, and fax back to (574) 254-5289.
  8. Keep a copy of the completed Warranty Claim Form in the box with the parts. Keep the parts on hand until you receive your credit, claim denial, or request for parts to be sent back.
  9. If parts are requested back: Place a copy of the claim form in the box with the parts. Mark the RGA number on the outside of the box, in BOLD NUMBERS. UPS will be notified that the return package will be ready for pickup within two days.
  10. Parts that need to be sent back will be inspected and tested. Parts that test good or show evidence of abuse or neglect will not be warranted, and can be charged back to the Service Center.
  11. Labor, parts markup, and freight credit will be sent after the parts are tested and validated. Service centers that have paid for the parts in advance will be compensated per “Compensation Guidelines”. Turnaround time for warranty claims is less than 30 days. If parts are determined to be non-warranty, the service center submitting the claim may be charged for the parts at Power Gears discretion.

Warranty Payment

  1. Freight will be prepaid at the UPS ground rate on warranty parts orders with a Power Gear Technical Support verification number. Warranty parts orders requiring expedited shipping (2nd day, 3rd day, next day) will have the freight charged to the service center.
  2. Warranty replacement parts will be shipped at no charge to the repair facility, UPS GND prepaid. Parts previously purchased direct from Power Gear will not be reimbursed, but replaced with either a direct or comparable part.
  3. Warranties involving labor must adhere to the standard time guide (see page #5) as published. Repairs not listed in the standard time guide will be compensated at a reasonable time allowance as determined by Power Gear. Overtime labor will not be honored under warranty.
