NOTE: If the jack leg (chrome rod) is gouged or damaged, the entire jack needs to be replaced.
I have a question about my Dewald hydraulic slide out system.
I need to identify and replace my slide out rams/cylinders.
Do you have replacement solenoids?
Do you have a replacement pump/motor?

What type fluid do you recommend on your Dewald or Power Gear systems?
For specific information on fluid used in your system, contact the coach manufacturer or selling dealer.
In most applications, Type A automatic transmission fluid such as ATF or Dexron III will work satisfactorily. Synthetic fluids such as Mercon V are recommended as an alternative fluid.
NOTE: it is not recommended that hydraulic fluids and transmission fluid be mixed. It is also not recommended to mix standard and synthetic fluids.
In extreme cold temperature jacks may extend and retract slowly. There are specially formulated fluids for cold temperature operation. Mobil DTE 11M, Texaco Rando HDZ15, and Kendall Hyken Glacial Blu are recommended.

put the vehicle in gear and the jacks are up. What do I do?
Check reservoir’s fluid level and the float switch. The alarm is often caused by low fluid levels. Reference the troubleshooting sections of the parts and service manual for your leveling system. They can be downloaded here.

My room slide moves slowly, is there a motor upgrade kit?
First, The unit must be run off a 12 VDC battery capable of supplying a minimum of 70
amps, not a converter or inverter. 'Running' voltage will need to be checked at the motor and should not be less than 10.5 volts.
Second, we do not offer an upgrade kit. Slow or jerky motion or repeatedly pressing the switch is caused by the sensing control finding an abnormally high amp draw. The motor should be inspected and may need to be replaced. There are several TIP SHEETS available for room adjustment procedures.

Slide room inoperative, how do I identify my slide room motor?
You will need the motor part number. The serial number and patent numbers on the motor will not identify it. If no part number can be found on the motor, you will need to call the OEM to get the system number. When you have the number, please call Power Gear Tech Service at 800-334-4712.
My slide room grinds, is noisy, etc and I need the gears for it?
To properly diagnose the issue we need to identify the system number, you will need to contact the OEM to get the proper system number. Some systems can be identified using the Power Gear part number located on the inner (moving) rail. When you have the number, please call Power Gear Tech Service at 800-334-4712.
My jacks don't retract fully. What do I do?
We recommend starting with maintenance on the jack chrome rod. Clean and lube the rod using silicone spray. Grease the fittings using lithium grease. After greasing the rod, attempt to rotate the jack leg to spread grease evenly. Do not use WD40 as it can damage the seals.

My leveling system is inoperative and I found the connector broken off underneath the touch pad.
